Our Areas of Practice

General dental, cleaning, preventative care, prosthetic, aesthetic, and endodontic services are provided at Cascade Dental. We offer a relaxed and professional environment where we treat everyone like family.

General Dentistry

Thanks to an increased understanding of adequate home care, water fluoridation, and efficient preventative treatments, tooth decay and other dental issues are less common than ever. However, problems still arise that need to be fixed.

Thanks to advances in technology and procedures, maintaining the health of your smile is now more accessible and less invasive. Our patients do not have to postpone treatment out of concern for their comfort or inconvenience. The most excellent method to reduce the severity of issues and the amount of care needed is to identify problems early through routine checkups.

Prevention and Cleaning

Registered Dental Hygienists perform professional dental cleanings (scaling, root planing, and polishing). During your cleaning visit, the dentist will examine your teeth and:

Calculus removal: Calculus, also known as tartar, is the term for hardened plaque that has developed on a tooth and will be securely adhered. Calculus can be eliminated with the proper dental tools when it forms above and below the gum line.

Plaque removal: Plaque is a sticky, nearly invisible film that develops on teeth. Saliva, food scraps and active bacteria are present in this expanding colony. Toxins produced by the bacteria irritate and inflame the gums. Periodontal disease begins with this inflammation, which can harm your overall health.

Polishing your teeth: will eliminate any stains or plaque that were missed by your toothbrush and scaling.

Dental prosthodontics

The branch of dentistry known as prosthodontics, often prosthetic dentistry, deals with the placement and maintenance of artificial teeth. One of the nine recognized dental specialties by the CDA is prosthodontics.

You can restore your smile and enhance your appearance with various procedures, including crowns, bridges, and complete or partial dentures.

Dental implants are an alternative to restorations. Thanks to prosthodontists' study and development of modern techniques, implants have become a much more solid option during the past ten years.

Dental cosmetics

With successful procedures that are frequently shockingly affordable, modern cosmetic dentistry places stunning, healthy-looking smiles within reach for more patients of all ages.

Please learn more about your choices for resolving a range of aesthetic issues by speaking with us. We can assist with the following:

  • Substitute missing teeth

  • Whiten and level out the color of your teeth.

  • Modify the size, shape, and alignment of your teeth.

  • Close any gaps in your smile.

  • Replace outdated procedures with current ones, such as switching from amalgam to resin fillings.

Endodontics

Treating infected or dead pulp inside teeth is known as endodontics. The evaluation and care of the tooth's nerves are also covered in this. Endodontic procedures, including root canals and root amputation, may be required if the soft tissue inside the tooth becomes infected or is deteriorating. To find out more about endodontics and to find out if this course of action is required for you, contact us right now.

Pedodontics (Dentistry for Children) (Dentistry for Children)

The specific area of dentistry that caters to children and teenagers is called pediatric dentistry. It is advised that kids visit the dentist for the first time no later than six months after their first tooth appears. This can offer parents resources to help preserve their children's primary teeth and be an intelligent preventative strategy. In addition, children's primary teeth are crucial for speech development and the formation of healthy eating habits. Thus oral care, preventative maintenance, and frequent dental visits are critical investments in a child's general health. Consult your dentist if you have concerns about your child's dental health.

Oral Surgery

Oral surgery may be required in a variety of circumstances. Although having oral surgery may sound frightening, be assured that our team will sufficiently get you ready and make sure you're as comfortable as possible throughout the entire process.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are an excellent alternative to removable partial or complete dentures for replacing missing teeth and provide a fixed option. In rare circumstances, implants can offer superior stability and support for these removable dentures.

Dental implants are artificial roots (often titanium) that a dentist or periodontist surgically inserts into the upper or lower jaw bone (gum specialist). The teeth or crowns linked to implants seem incredibly realistic and frequently improve or restore a patient's smile!

Although dental implants are incredibly stable, strong, and long-lasting, they occasionally need to be adjusted or changed due to wear.

Reason for dental implants

  • To avoid harming neighboring teeth, replace one or more missing teeth.

  • Get rid of joint discomfort or bite issues by teeth slipping into a gap left by missing teeth.

  • Bring back your confident smile.

  • regain speech, digestion, and chewing

  • Enhance or restore face tissues

  • Support a bridge or denture to increase its comfort and security

What is Involved in Receiving Dental Implants?

After determining that an implant is the best option for you, X-rays and impressions (molds) of the jaw and teeth are taken to identify the bone, gum tissue, and spacing suitable for an implant. The procedure for receiving implants includes several appointments over some time. The implant will be surgically inserted into the bone while the area is still numb. It will then be given up to six months to heal and integrate with the bone. The "post" that will keep the artificial tooth in place may need to be implanted again, depending on the implant type; however, with some implants, the post and anchor are already attached and planted at the same time.

The fake teeth or crowns are created and placed on the anchor's post portion after many weeks of recovery. This process could take one to two months to finish because multiple fittings can be necessary. The replacement teeth are firmly linked to the implant after a healing phase, offering exceptional stability and comfort.

Upon completion of your treatment, you will get instructions for aftercare. Your new implant will last longer if you practice good oral hygiene, make healthy food choices, and visit the dentist frequently.

At Cascade Dental, we are pleased to offer our patients the highest quality of care possible. We want you to feel confident that you are receiving the best treatment. Contact us for more information!
